Beautiful, beautiful kitty. He’s asleep beside the koi pond, near the waterfall and pond he used to watch for hours. His passing was peaceful, without fear or discomfort, and OSG very kindly was there for us.
He was born in Oklahoma, traveled the Great Move to Spokane, via a near calamity in Nebraska, and several apartments. He was very happy when we got a house where doors didn’t mysteriously bang and thump and unknown people walk up and down stairs…he loved this house. He traveled over 100,000 miles on the road with us, through getting lost in Utah, and was with us at the Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater and Carlsbad. He saw the ocean—and did not approve of all that water.
He loved the pond, however, and loved flowers: he sleeps under the limbs of a young Japanese maple and beside a rose bush.
That’s what I can tell you.
I am so sorry to hear of this. Our {{{{hugs}}}} to you and Jane and a very special pat for Ysabel.
Deepest sympathies.
I sent a donation to the NH ASPCA in the name of Efanor the Cat.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I’m sorry it was so soon, but glad Jane was able to provide Efanor the peaceful and loving end she envisioned. Thank you to OSG for being there, and {{{hugs}}} to all.
Thank you all.
very sorry to hear.
Thank you, Carolyn. It’s beautiful.
My condolences to you both.
I’m so, so sorry that you lost a loved member of your family today. I’ve lost three kitties; I have two young ones but I still think of Sooty, Chloe and Whisky often – very often.
Please pass all our condolencies on to Jane. Little help, in my experience – but some.
So sorry for your loss. My condolences.
I just wanted to add my own condolences. From someone who still cries from time to time about my little, lost fur children.
Carolyn, what a beautiful and loving tribute.
E-hugs to both of you. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss.
My heart goes out to you.
Phil Brown
Oh, I am so sorry and so sad.
So, so sorry.
I am so very sorry. It sounds like Efanor was a very lucky cat to have had such a full life with two such wonderful “mothers” and a best friend. My love and condolences to you all.
Oh, that’s so sad. Our thoughts are with you.
Wow, what a shock. I didn’t get much more warning myself regarding my “Mr. Mustachio” — owing in large part to the fact that my ex-gf kept him when we broke up. She hogged his final moments in the vet’s office, too, but she was always very needy. She also socked me with the lion’s share of the bill. Worse than a fictional Barb.
Hearing about any cat brings this decades-old event back like it was yesterday, but more so with Ef, because Mustachio was 90% black, save for “paintwalker” white paws, white blaze on chest, and white Rollie Fingers curly “mustache” (hence his name).
At least you were are able to share the grief together, and know that we share it too…
I’m so sorry. Blessed be Efanor and blessed be the family he leaves behind. May his spirit be reborn in your memories as you carry him forever in your hearts.
I’m so sorry to hear about Efanor. I’m sure he had a great life.
