…so you can download new cover/text updates to Closed Circle Books. If you wish to preserve an older cover for your personal files, be sure to save it separately so that it won’t be overwritten.
We apologize that we are sending you so many e-mails, one for every product, but we’re a little operation and we use software that doesn’t have as many choices as big companies get.
We should be updating nearly everything on Closed Circle, so if you aren’t getting e-mails and you have bought books from us, do check your spam filters. Some don’t like *any* urls in a letter.
If you don’t wish to receive e-mails in the future, there’s an opt-out, and we’ll remove you from our customer list. We do not look to use e-mail very often at all, so don’t fear you’re going to get a flood of mail from us, just a small spate involving upgrade codes for the books you already have. We’d rather write books than letters, ourselves, and getting this one mailing to work has taken us more effort than we like to contemplate anytime soon!
Thank you all.
Many thanks for the revised versions, appreciating the work that has gone into them and the principled decision to send them to previous purchasers.

All my early books have been updated. Thanks so much for the early winter holiday present! No problems so far.
Yay! I’ve received several emails regarding past purchases, and will download and update this weekend. Many thanks to you and Jane and Lynn. I have some idea of just how much work it is, behind the curtain.
Aside: I *finally* finished Invader, and will be reading Inheritor along with the NetWalkers and Rusalka series.
Very satisfying. When I was 40 pages from the end, I thought, “She’s keeping it tense and going right up to the end. Another writer would already be wrapping up the happily (or unhappily) ever after’s by now.”
The writing from all three authors is delightful; I would enjoy them in absolutely any intelligible font with no covers at all. What you are sending are works of art. Thank you. And everything is downloading without a single problem.
I got the letters. I also just changed my e-mail addy to one where the links will be less of a problem – NetAddress apparently doesn’t like links; most of them get a blank screen.
Good! And Thank you!
I THINK I am okay – I purchased Deliberations only recently – and AFAIK it looks fine – I read it. I don’t remember any weird things….
AND your email did turn up – along with an ungodly number of spam emails about lottery winnings, inheritances from total strangers, and remarkably lucrative (and mysterious) investment opportunities….
Bottom line – I am here today checking to see if the email from Closed Circle was ACTUALLY from Closed Circle! (and if so, whether I should/ought to click on that link…)
So is there a ‘good from’ date? Because I think I am after that, whenever it was, but it would be nice to check.
Thank you.
Downtown Spokane was rather nice this past week – I was at a downtown meeting/short course and on foot – barely an hour spent outside the convention center and hotel, and that was spent between Auntie’s bookstore and a place called Boo Radleys. Interesting. Sort of. I got my youngest a Gorey book.

Oh, yes, we sent out a set of e-mails to allow re-downloads of all your stuff. It’s good for a week, but that week has to be running out, so click on it quickly, or we will have to dig them all up for you individually.
Boo Radleys is an ‘old’ institution, at least back to the 80’s, I think. Aunties and Uncles are probably older yet. A Gorey book is the tamest thing you are likely to find in there! 😉
