Takes a while to run some of these, but the hematologist was initially encouraging, dismissed spleen and liver issues as unlikely, and is running more tests, not all of which would be great news but some of which would be pretty good news if positive. So again, we don’t know, but we’re gaining on it.
Good luck to you two. You’re in need of good things after the last few weeks.
FIngers crossed
:hugs: You both need some *good* news on this. I know it’s scary and worrisome. Here’s hoping it’s the ulcers plus recent strains and some one-time quirk, and that it’ll clear up soonest.
Sending best wishes on the more material matters. Might as well, while I’m at it.

good luck
It sounds encouraging. We’ll continue to hold you and your household in our thoughts.
It sounds as if the worst possibilities are being eliminated; I think you’re right, that it was grief and stress on top of a glitch previously unnoticed. And by now, you’ve used up at least two years worth of bad luck in just a few weeks. Time for things to improve!
Warm thoughts to all of your household.
Hoping for something non-serious, non-embarrassing, and non-tedious to treat.
7 vials! Reminds me of the time they thought I had lupus — they syphoned off five or six tubes a day for four days straight, tested it six ways from Sunday for everything under the sun. The result? No lupus, or anything like. I was just a little anemic!
We will keep fingers and toes crossed that Jane has nothing that a little rest, fresh air, and good food won’t fix.
WOL – “We will keep fingers and toes crossed that Jane has nothing that a little rest, fresh air, and good food won’t fix.”
Not much chance of a little rest – knowing Jane. Oh well, as the Fast Bat said “Two outta three ain’t bad.”
I do hope all your troubles are resolved soon. I’m glad you have helpful neighbours close by.
Oh D…! Right after I hit submit (of course) I realise the song is by Meatloaf, it is the album that is “Bat Out of Hell” – so the quote is from Meatloaf, not the Fast Bat…
What a way to wreck an already obscure allusion…
Hey, we had one bit of good luck: the drill! It’s gorgeous and arrived today, so as soon as the planks are painted and the pilot holes drilled, we’ll have a bridge! YAYAYAYAYAYAY
After my father’s heart surgery he was very tired and weak The Dr said – you blood is probably low – we’ll just take a little blood sample…..
They had a hell of a time squeezing any blood out at all, had to finally take it from his ear lobe!
Result – yes his blood was low. (Nowadays they are very stingy with the transfusions during surgery.)
I started throwing parsley into everything-by the cupful as it appeared to have the highest iron content of anything that was readily available.
Good luck. I prescribe lots of fish watching – indoors and out.
Toes crossed that the outcome of all that blood being drawn is positive.
Happy Bridge Building. Can Jane be limited to recording the event? I just love what she has posted to date.
