It’s not grouted yet, but it’s up. We haven’t done the counter yet, but it’s getting there.

I hope you are taking photos of the various stages,,,
There will be a most glorious slide show. We have all sorts of photos.
good to hear of the progress !
The counter is done, the tub is done: we’ve opted to grout the thing ourselves, just to have our hand in it—and it’s beautiful. Film when we get organized…
Congratulations! Looking forward to the pictures…
Pardon if this ain’t quite the right place for this, but is it just my computer (which has had no known changes recently) or are avatars for everybody but herself no longer appearing?
I can see all the avvys

goodness. Somehow that avatar looks much like the way I feel this morning.
It may be useful to know that my avatar, as site admin, comes from a different source than a gravatar. It’s why I’m lousy at telling people who have avatar problems what to do, but I’d start by visiting my account at gravatar.com and seeing if there’s an issue there.
My avatar is one I uploaded to gravatar. The avatars are showing fine on my computer. 🙂
One bit of weirdness I’ve found with gravatar vs. this site, is that the gravatar pic you use here first (ideally by having gravatar set beforehand but not necessarily so) is *permanent* — even if you change your setting in gravatar later, it doesn’t change *here*…
The “disappearing gravatars” seem to occur when I’m logged-in. They were OK before I tried to offer another comment.
This is a home-made “Linux fron Scratch” system “of a certain age”. 😉 (I am working on a newer version, but it’s quite a production!) It still uses Firefox-2.0.0.16, hand compiled from source here rather than precompiled, so there are no incompatibilities there. But the Java Runtime Environment, jre-1.5.0.14-linux-586.bin, was precompiled by Oracle, of course. Perhaps some recent version of software upgrades at that end may have produced this result. 🙁 It worked fine a couple months ago.
This is VERY strange. They disappeared when I logged-in. No “broken image” icon, just a plain white box! So I logged out to see if they would come back. Nope. Something stuck in the browser? Quit Firefox and restarted. Still white boxes. Sounds like a cookie. Log-in again to leave this update, and some gravatars returned (BlueCatShip’s, etc.) others showed broken image icons. Reload page and all white boxes again.
Perhaps I should mention the gray WordPress bar at the top that appears when I login, no longer shows my gravatar (WordPress logo instead) and instead of being one “line” thick, it’s now two!
Very strange. Some incompatibility.
