I’ve known for a few weeks, but they’ve now announced it. Yrs truly will receive the honor at the Nebulas in Chicago to be followed by an autographing open to the public, as I understand it.
I didn’t achieve this without the kindness and loyalty of my readers.
Congratulations! ?
Added this to your Wikipedia page.
About time. Congratulations, Congratulations, Congratulations.
Many congratulations. Mamy thanks for all the wonderful work.
Let me add my congratulations to the chorus!
Actually what you need is to win an award that comes with floorlayers as well as a plaque/trophy/medallion or whatever.
Hee!
Congratulations!
Well done and very well deserved.
More congratulations!
Congratulations.
Just reviewed the list of previous recipients – it’s a very fine list of SF writers, and your name certainly deserves to be one of them.
Congratulations! And about time, too.
Congratulations! I’m so very happy for you!
Wonderfully well deserved because wonderfully well earned. Long may you grandly master!
Very good – I hope that you are blushing appropriately.
Congratulations
Hurrah and Felicitations, CJ!
Congratulations on receiving such richly deserved recognition!
(May your next award include minions to do your bidding on projects around the house.)
Well Earned. Congratulations.

(That’s where I heard.)
It’s nice to have official recognition for what we the fans have known all along: to the best writer ever!
Raises her porcelain teacup in agreement!
So much for “the grand old men of SciFi”, I suppose. For me, the “harder” the better for the most part, but I also want “real” characters and some of them fell down there. I found, in so far as one can generalize, several of the women authors wrote more interesting characters, while keeping the Science real. Such as you know who.
The proposition I put to authors is: “Have something interesting and believable to say, your universe, plot, and characters, all of it. I expect to gain some understanding from reading your story, not just idly pass time.” And as already noted, some authors disappoint, and others don’t.
It’s like I believe I mentioned a while back about some of the BBS systems back in the day whose registration process asked, in the first few questions, “Are you gay or straight?” My reaction was always, “Forget that! Are you interesting?” I left. Of course, [Fe]I didn’t know yet I was an Aspie whose brain was wired differently myself.[/Fe]
