It’s 15 degrees and spitting snow.
This is our forecast, which has been pretty well typical of February.
We get a snow coat.
Then it leaves.

I see pizza in our forecast.
Frozen disks falling from the sky covered with tomato sauce and cheese, etc. Kinda sounds better than what we are expecting. It could wait till Tues evening and I would not care! I have plans for Tuesday morning…. At least this time I know where the de-ice and shovel are.
They are predicting 1 – 2 inches tonight, but tomorrow is supposed to be even heavier snow. A lot better than the earlier models a couple of days ago where they upgraded it from 8 – 10 inches to 10 – 14 inches. Now, it’s estimated at around 4 – 6 inches in my area, about 35 miles north of Dayton, OH.
There had been predictions for snow earlier in the week here too. Now just east of the Gorge. Hey! Spokane is east of the Gorge. 😉
We desperately need snow — Phoenix had gone 70 days without precip and we’ve only had .08 inches in those 70 days (and that was weeks ago). Not a good thing for a ponderosa pine forest. We’re looking at conditions identical to what we had before the Rodeo-Chediski fire in 2002. But we started getting rain last night and it’s continued on and off all day. Raining pretty good right now. Thankfully not as wild as Southern California is getting but at least we’re getting it in a fashion it has a chance of soaking in and not flash-flood runoff. But oh a nice snow pack would be so nice.
As a native Angelino, since departed, I observe, “Be careful what you wish for!”
Saturday’s high 80F, Sunday’s predicted low 26F. Monday’s predicted low 16F. It’s 29F right now. Looks like we’re having hot and cold blowing weather. Again. Still. As for a nice snowpack, I’ll pass, thank you. Rain I’ll take, but ix-nay on the ow-snay.
Yummmmm! Pizza sounds good!
We are expecting three to five inches late this afternoon into early tomorrow morning, but from the way things are moving on the weather map I think it’s going to start sooner. We still have several inches of icy snow on the ground. The pond is just becoming discernable around the edges. I am so ready for spring.
On the bright side the well is in better shape that it has been for years! 😀
See muttscomics.com for Mar 3rd. 😉
Near freezing the day before yesterday, yesterday, and last night. Possibly warmer today. Thunderstorm and cold rain overnight and rain/drizzle all day so far. Very, very glad I am *inside*, thank you!
Also — I got the ebook editions of Invader and Inheritor. I had been somewhere in Inheritor, but cannot recall where, so I’m starting over. I recall Bren was being shown around a shuttle construction hangar.
I think I had also been in Intruder, even though way out of sequence, in an effort to catch up with what other fans know.
At any rate, I had read up to a point where the young gentleman had had his first encounter with, ah, fermented beverages, and was rather regretting the amount, though less than a full glass. Heh. He and Bren were on the train headed west, I think, to his grandmother’s holdings at Malguri.
One has been attempting to sneak back up on one’s former reading habits, and one thinks this time, one may have success in the element of surprise, overtake them, and resume one’s formerly accustomed rate.
