Great to see Heavy Time and Hellburner up there! They are some of your best, in my opinion.
A suggestion: It could be a good selling point if you put up short extracts from the books, so that people can get a taste of them before buying. It would be easy enough to make a page for each book with a few paragraphs about it and an extract, and link to it from everywhere the book is mentioned.
Boston has taught itself to panic at the thought of a serious snowstorm and the mayor + governor sent folks home early today in fear of a Northeaster. Ever since the Blizzard of ’78, the TV weather clowns (announcers) have a delightful time stirring everyone up into a panic so that they can get good ratings. By this evening, we’ve received maybe an inch of snow: I think it is freezing rain out right now. Although, the power did go out in my neighborhood for ~1 1/2 hour, just as I was finishing cooking smelt for dinner. We dined by candlelight, then played a game of Cribbage. I lost to my spouse by two points just as the lights came back on. I’d like a decent snow storm.
But I found my copy of Andre Norton’s Star Rangers and plan to start reading it in my toasty, warm bed tonight before turning the light off!
Gotta tell you, I just finished a reread of Rimrunners, loved every minute of it right up till it stopped. The ending felt so abrupt, please tell me you plan to give us more Bet Yeager! =)
You know, I do a reread each time I visit my parents and grab a book from the loft in the garage. I almost grabbed Rimrunners this time, but got Finity’s End instead. While Downbelow Station was my intro to the A/U universe, I seem to like the books that fill in the gaps, such as these two books or the Heavy Time/Hellburner set.
Next time I go back, I have to remember to grab Rimrunners, but more importantly, I have to remember to bring a few books back down before my wife has a fit about shelf space ๐
Incidentally, the roads in my neck of the woods became driveable much more quickly after last night and today’s storm than previous storms. So, it’s back to work for me tomorrow…
Strange storm……hardly any in Boston…here on Shumankanuc Hill we had about eight inches of heavy, wet stuff….weather forecasting becomes more arcane on the coast…..it’s a *winter wonderland”….but the days *are* getting longer…….and I am ready for spring.
Just reread Finity’s End….may do an A/U reading frenzy…..but kind of want to do The Paladin first. ๐
Two more days of day job and then RETIREMENT!! ๐ ๐ ๐
I just finished Regenesis. I’ve started Cyteen this week…now I wish I had read Cyteen first. See the finished puzzle now I have to discover each of the pieces…

Yep. I’ve intended to do that. I’ve just been too snowed under. Maybe soon. At least you guys know what it is. Sigh.
No, we to the East have been “snowed under”, you’ve just been fighting the floodwaters. ๐
Snoverkill!
