Yay! Heading over here right now…
More soon!
WordPress has instituted a new weird toolbar across the top. I tried to click on it to make it go away, and inadvertently signed myself out! Grrr!
Yep, none of us are real happy about this! And does it have to be prison grey?
Fascinating. It seems to be intermittent. It appeared immediately on logging in when I used IE, but took a few to appear using FireFox.
How odd. On my iPhone, I’m seeing the new bar with my own username, but CJ’s avatar is showing, instead of mine. Tomorrow, when on my laptop, Win7, I’ll report if my own avatar shows up. It should.
I read and loved Jane’s installment last night. Win-win for all three authors’ installments. Looking forward to the next ep up.
I ordered the Tsang’s peanut sauce; still will locate it locally. Will try that recipe when it arrives. — not one, not two, but three ppl have mentioned black bean garlic sauce, so I’m going to try some, next grocery run.
Be sure to be aware of the sodium content on black bean and oyster sauce: it is a salt substitute!
And Jane thanks you, we all thank you. 😉
The toolbar — It appears to be intermittent, but I can’t tell what’s triggering it to show/hide. It was showing a very tiny version of my avatar at first, to fit neatly inside the toolbar, with a drop-down menu with my username on the left, and a search box and button on the right. Potentially useful, but yes, unimaginative dark gray/grey. 😉 I’d want theme control over the CSS presentation style. 😉 However, now, it is showing a large version of your avatar, CJ, on your blog, obscuring part of the leftmost toolbar button (that is, the drop-down with my username) as well as a bit of the links and banner image on the top left. Why it’s showing your avatar, I know not. When I went to my user profile, it complains something about the NextGen Gallery needing to be updated, as though I should do this, but then it says I don’t have permission. Uh, their error message is worded as though I, the end user, need to update “my” NextGen Gallery database, which, of course, most WordPress general users (me included) won’t know about. But the error message on attempting to update it is worded as though it (the database) belongs to the blog owner(s) and therefore the blog visitors don’t have permission. …Which, of course, means that error message, presumably from WordPress, is wonky.
Maybe comp is trying to translate from kifish or stsho, a, and got confused in the pronouns? gtst, gtsta, gtste…. Ou il, elle, ils, elles, on, ons, se, ce…. Possibly, it got confused to which “se” referred. Hahaha.
Similar results at Jane’s and Lynn’s blogs. — Hmm, and if OSG happens to be an author or else a blog owner, hey, we fans might be interested too. (I remember seeing something as to OSG being a good friend of long acquaintance and fellow fan, but I don’t recall more than that. Darn brain needs more memory storage!)
Hah, no problem here with seeing a large gray cat staring at me. Hahah, much the same as my two cats or my grandmother’s cat staring. “What? You’re typing on that dang glowing clackety thing instead of petting, feeding, or playing with me? It’s an outrage, I tell you!” ;D — I haven’t told my two that they have distant hani cousins flying starships. They’d get ideas! Hmm, plus, they’d be crew*men*. (Goober’s not a top cat alpha cat, but Smokey, who’s junior, is, quite.)
I’m hoping to sit down with the mahen font idea and scribble more this weekend.
The suace — Thanks, I’ll be sure to let the others who’ve mentioned the sauce know about the sodium content. Not a big risk for me, fortunately, but it could be a concern for them. — The peanut sauce is due about the 8th.
Does this mean WordPress needs a paidhi? 😀
LOL …and now, my own avatar at the proper size, is back in the toolbar. Wacky fun. Figures.
The toolbar is there only if you are logged in. Mine shows my tiny avatar now.
Seeking north is great. Have to finish reading the latest story, though.
Ahh… there’s a working preview button below. Very good!
I second all that BlueCatShip said about CJ’s avatar and the database non-permission – happened to me tonight.
Yes, I’m enjoying the LARGE picture of the cat, staring at me. It doesn’t make me uncomfortable at all…ha!
I finally got a chance to read Jane’s newest additions to seeking north and I like them. Thank you all for this experiment.
