Total cuteness personified!!
Oh my, what a darling. Those eyes are unbelievable. As I commented to Jane, may he heal your hearts.
How cute! My own, black cat with small, white bib — Froggie — is curled up on my arms as I (try to) type: kinda hard but we both appreciate the pics and hope ypu all will be happy. I’ve been hugging my cats a bit more intensely the past few days and thinking of both of you and Efanor.
He’s a charming little bundle of fur, and he’s going to add so much life to your household! And those eyes are gorgeous.
He’s extreme cuteness. Those eyes are magical.
Whee! New kitteh iz small but feroshus.
Srsly, he looks great, and I hope he brings you both much joy.
and the eyes are going to stay blue? is he a Siamese cross? he is absolutely gorgeous, congratulations Jane!
he’s brilliant!! and looks to have same stripes as my litlle furball has 🙂
What *cuteness*! Joy to all! 🙂 😀 😆
Can’t work because of sleeping kitten — how Lovecrafty!
He (the kitten) is certainly a cutey…
I’m very happy for you both.
I, on the other hand, am not a new kitten right away person. It’s never felt quite right to me. Could be my childhood as we didn’t replace pets right away.
I think that the new cat should get a fresh start and I can’t give that right away.
But I’m still very happy for you.

Everyone’s different, and we certainly understand different feelings; but for us, we feel a sense of immediate continuance, as if some of those nine lives carry on, in their own way, and we never, ever forget our departed ones.
Nor do I.

What total adorableness. And he looks like Edmond that that age (which, I think should worry you considering what a (sweet) scoundrel Edmond is grown up to be.) Here, you can see a bit of the silver/white patch on him, too:

I’m so glad to see you have adopted another little furry kitten looking for a home. I wish I could take them all in.

Me too. For the past 35 years or so all my cats have found me as rescues. This leads, of course, to multiple cats. I moved from Los Angeles to Seattle 20 years ago with 5 cats. Try that one. Sadly I lost 2 in Seattle and moved back to LA with 3. As they passed I didn’t get a new cat until about 11 years ago I was cat less for the first time in my life. But not without feline companionship because a little black cat, obviously well kept, kept hanging around my workshop. Well, a neighbor came running one day screaming that my cat was being mauled. A bit confused I ran to the front of the house and there was the black cat halfway up a tree with his hindquarters in a dog’s mouth. I got him loose but he had a broken leg. I took him to the vet and his leg was set. I posted notices around the neighborhood but nobody claimed him. Blackie was my constant friend for 10 years until last year when he passed.
About a year after Blackie arrived I was walking to my car when I heard a little cry from under a bush in front of my house. Sure enough there was a tiny kitten under the bush. Bentley was about 6 weeks old and a little ill which a week’s worth of antibiotics cleared up.
He seems to be a pure bred Ragdoll and 10 years later is sleeping on my bed.
Others have found me over the years as well. Animals, people included, seem to like me.

Yes, yes yes. I agree with Phil — kittehs find us — or the universe plops them where we’ll find them, And I’m with CJ and Jane — I also believe they come back to us. Reincarnation has always made sense to me and I cannot fathom a universe where our pets don’t continue on as well.
So happy for both of you! He is the cutest little fuzzy fart! And looks so helpful with the computer too. Hope Isabel isn’t having fits. Our Willow is still not amused by Marley [the baby in my pic], even after 9 months and he’s now a year. And such a good day to get him. May Beltaine’s blessings of rebirth and renewal, a hope for a bright future and prosperity fill your home.
