I can’t believe it.
We skated today: I blew my knee carrying rock up steps with no knee brace, and have been off the ice for a week. Today I wrapped up really well and went out, but I can’t wear the shoes I did the damage in, and now the ones I picked as a substitute have worn bloody patches on my feet. I just can’t win.
The koi are swimming around wondering if the white stuff is edible: they’re usually fast asleep when this happens.
If you’re getting snow today, I’ll be getting it within the next 24 – 36 hours.
*Checks the local forecast*
Actually, it’s saying snow today (looks out the window at the sunshine) and rain for the next two days. I disbelieve!!!
O NOES! Aren’t you allowed any fun?!?
It snowed here today, too, although it didn’t stick. I’m ready to run screaming down the street, I’m so tired of snow.
It snowed this weekend in central Iowa, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground. It is supposed to snow tonight in northern Iowa. supposed to rain the rest of the week.
That just means it good weather to stay inside and read the latest “Forigner” series.
I have finished “Conspirator” and am about two thirds through “Deciever”. “Betrayer” arived last week and is wating on my dresser. Loving it so far.
We had snow last night, too — but it’s mostly melted now.
Someone forgot to turn the knob to spring.
While Russ was home, we planned to go see his brother about 70 miles away. It snowed 9 inches up there that day (near Yankton, South Dakota) and even the next day we couldn’t get to their house, so we met in town. I did get a lovely picture of some snow on the hills, though, on the way up there.

I used to have constant knee pain. Then I bought some FiveFinger Sprint shoes from REI. These are “barefoot running shoes.” I liked the concept because the only time my feet don’t hurt is when they’re bare. The shoes not only fixed my sore feet, but they also fixed my weak knees – I can actually see the new muscles all around the knee joint, and they fixed my painful SI joint. (Yep, I’ve got new muscles around the pelvis too.) I can’t recommend Fivefingers highly enough. If you’re into research, there’s a really good study at http://www.barefootrunning.fas.harvard.edu
Here in Norway, our national day is May 17th. Weather on that day is always a lottery … it can be a nice warm sunny day of 18C, or it can be a last-gasp snowy day. And this is in the middle-to-southern part of the country. In the north, I have pictures of snowy weather in July.
Rain, thunderstorms, rain, thunderstorms … repeat as necessary. This has been our Easter in “Green Country”, Oklahoma.
