The boxes have arrived. We’ll be selling signed copies direct from Closed Circle as soon as we can get a listing up.
Anytime you want a signed copy, do recall we do that—the list of physical books we have is on CC.

Mine arrived from the Amazon.co.uk pre-order already. I am re-reading Pride of Chanur at the moment though. I’d love a signed copy.. but pre-ordered because… who can wait? 🙂
I’ve preordered, but haven’t been notified that it’s shipped. I will dance the happy dance when it arrives.
Intruder. Oh wow….didn’t see that coming. Starting on my second read. Not sure I am going to be able to wait for 18 months or 2 years to find out what happens next.
I am not sure how Evertype can NOT immediately pick up Intruder and start reading. I was supposed to hang my cabinets this past weekend and instead spent in the chair with a cat and the book. The good thing is I didn’t have to burn a vacation day because I couldn’t put it down.
My copy arrived on friday, ordered from amazon. I finished reading it at 3 am on friday, after work 🙂
I finished the Kindle ebook on my iPad at 8:00 AM french hour. I had it at 1:00 but I didn’t read this continuously.
I think that the TV Tropes rubric : http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GambitPileup has new material with this book.
I took a week of holidays for reading this in particular, and I wasn’t deceived.
I’m on my second reread, to get the details (which I often miss on the first read…) – for some reason Daw ship early to the Nordics 🙂
I just hope this “early shipping” doesn’t skew the first week numbers…
Hi ! Just a small note regardng Intruder :
I will gladly like to buy it as an ebook (definite turn here, I’ll pass on the paper !), but noticed a problem at Kobo : The cover is bad
http://www.kobobooks.com/search/search.html?q=cherryh+intruder
Should I contact the publisher, Kobo, or is it better if you do it ?
An other thing, is that despite my buying an ebook, I’d buy if possible (and if it’s OK with you) a signed bookplate (which I’ll paste in some kind of binder I think).
However, I don’t find the option in the new Closed Circle.
The bookplates are there, 2.00 each, we pay postage.
Contact Kobo—writers are always complainihg, but they’ll listen to a customer.
My guess is your best option is to contact the publisher. Then you could also tell them that the synopsis isn’t right in Kobo either: it’s the same problem they had at Amazon, using the synopsis of the previous book for the new Intruder book.
I’m on my lunch break, so I can’t do it myself ’till later tonight.
I received notice that mine has been shipped; should be here by Thursday. I CAN’T WAIT !!! but i guess i’ll have to.
Mine just downloaded!, too bad it’s a work day. I have a new rule to only buy electronic books because of severe storage issues but will break that rule in favor of a signed copy from CC, which I can wait on because I do have my electronic copy to be reading now.
Amazon billed me this morning so it is ready for download.
My ebook copy has downloaded to my iPad’s Kindle app and to my computer, this morning.
I pre-ordered the hardback last year. Sunday night or Monday, it changed from “Not Yet Shipped” to “Shipping Soon.” I’m awaiting the email, which I expect today or tomorrow, that it has shipped. It shows the expected ship/arrival date as Friday the 9th through Tuesday the 13th. Generally, Amazon’s books and pre-orders have arrived before the stated date, but then, I’m in a major city.
Just got the email from Amazon that my copy is shipped! I’m just now rereading Betrayer, so I can have the story line freshly in mind when Intruder arrives. I can’t wait!!
got mine today as well !!
I got the email that my copy shipped so it’s on the way!! I am so excited. Happy dance <3
I plan to order a copy from CC as soon as it is ready. Enjoying the ebook in the meantime. I was pleased I did not miss my stop tonight due to reading too hard.
Make that reading too avidly
A little bird has told me this (ahem!) is already done, Kokipy. 😉
While I was (gasp) actually off the computer this afternoon, Amazon emailed to say they’ve shipped my copy of Intruder. It should arrive about Saturday the 10th. The ebook’s waiting in my downloaded ebook hoard.
For a long while, I was burnt out on reading, I think because so much else was going on in my life that even that best safety valve went by the wayside for too long a time. (I did manage to read or reread a few books during that, even so, including several by a certain Cherryh.)
After a long absence, during which poor Bren was left in the middle of Invader, last night and part of today, I have got back into Invader. I think my reading habit might have returned to normal, but not quite at my usual speed yet. Bren and company have now gotten past page 200 or so, and I’ve now read the first appearance of pizza 😉 and to the point where Bren delivers a wonderful summation of political intrigues:
You are the second. Welcome to politics.
This, after an earlier quote in which he says he doesn’t attempt to define a fool, he awaits demonstrations. Heheh.
I believe Mr. Graham is in for it.
It’s no wonder Bren’s had trouble with Hanks. Anyone who’s supposed to be a translator with that degree of fluency who can’t think or dream in that language without translation? No wonder….
It must be interesting if you find yourself on board a starship, yet you’re dreaming in Latin or Greek. Since I don’t speak Latin or Greek, I can only imagine it would be…disconcerting, yet much fun.
So, straying back on-topic, I have a long way to go before Intruder, unless I try to read ahead concurrently.
So glad you’ve had you’ve now read the pizza-with-green-sauce scene, BCS! No doubt one of everyone’s favorite moments in the books. There are sooo many favorite moments in these books. Like TabCat2, I am re-reading Betrayer while awaiting that all-important phone call from the book store, but I’m not excited or anything…just bouncing up and down because I have lots of energy, right? Sure…
I have a question. Most fortunately for Toby, Bren was available to give that life-saving blood transfusion when he needed it. I keep wondering, what would happen if Bren were in need of one? Amazing that he’s managed to avoid it so far, with all his galavanting about and getting into sticky situations. One wonders if the atevi in charge of his “care” keep a supply on hand…Anyway, slightly OT, I suppose, but I found myself wondering about it when reading that scene.
Anyway, back to bouncing up and down…
Spent the day reading it. Fun!
That little. IRS is soooooo good:)
