One of the best ways to get readers informed about Closed Circle is forums of all sorts. I know that many restrict the sigs you can use. But if you happen to be a member of forums that don’t bar it, and especially in those that are appropriate or sf-fantasy oriented, if you could fly the Closed Circle banner where you can even for a week or so, we would be very grateful. Here’s the addy you can swipe and add temporarily to your sig, if you would be so kind. We’re at the point where we’re ready to put more books up, and we could sure use the help getting the word out that we exist.
This is the addy: copy and paste to your sigs where proper and permitted. You’ll be spreading the word via your e-mails and posts, and that link is live. But please be safe, be proper, and all that!

I wonder whether you’d also like to delegate a particular image from Closed Circle as a “blog badge” – you know, to stick down the sidebar? That way we’d be permanently advertising for you!
p.s. – it’d be very handy if you were to include an option to receive replies to comments via email, such as the plugin “Subscribe To Comments.”
Mmm. Not sure I understand. You mean a connection here? We don’t at CC because the one time we had it, we had a deluge of spammers trying to set up to use it.
I take it you’re referring to the “email” thing, right? I’m just saying that, when I comment upon a post, I have to leave the window open or to return to the post to see whether somebody’s replied. That means that I frequently end up coming back well after that particular avenue of conversation has been exhausted. If there were the option to receive email updates from when somebody had replied to a comment I’d made (or to the post), then I’d receive a notification that there was activity here. That’s the way the “Subscribe to Comments” plugin works – it presents the (logged in) user with two tick-boxes, asking whether they’d like to receive replies to their comments and/or whether they’d like to receive all replies to the post via email.
I think I see. Let me see what I can find out.
Edited material from Closed Circle and turned it into a banner ad. http://xenophon.page.tl/Captain-h-s-Blog.htm?uid=8
I only draw around 400 hits a month. Hope it helps…
Did the same, but turned it into a blog badge (down the right-hand sidebar, after the links): http://davimack.users.sonic.net/blog/ . I’d rather that the image were “official,” and that it were hosted at Closed Circle.
If the badge is acceptable to you, C.J., please let me know. If it’s not, I’ll pull it.
Beautiful, both you guys. We’re very grateful.
๐
Just happy to keep you guys going.
I think there are easy ways to make little banners for FB & elsewhere, but will have to delve into it later — SUPER busy this week….which I think you already know ๐
Consider starting a FB Closed Circle group. FB will already pull up certain references to Closed Circle but it might behoove the 3 of you to have your own CC page. That gives people the option to suggest it to their friends who might be interested to suggest it to their friends who might be interested ad infinitum. Go viral!
Jane and I just created a Facebook page for Closed Circle, and it’s not showing yet. I take it this takes a little time. Once it does show, please ‘like’ it.
In less than 9 hours the FB CC page has zoomed from 0 to 62. woo hoo! I’ve basically spammed everyone on my f-list that has any sore of interest in sff or reading. ๐
^^ “sort” not “sore” ^^^ aaauuugghh!
๐ Thank you, OSG!
Will do! Good timing, too. Toastmasters clubs worldwide are entering contest season, where e-mails are shooting around all over the place. I’ve lots of messaging to do.
Thank you!
I added the info to my sig at KindleBoards.com.
About 24,000 registered members.
Gets about 4,000,000 page reads a month.
All people with ereaders or serious interest in same.
A lot of Indie authors also.
Oh, good for you! I hope they let you get away with it—they won’t let indies post links to their own work. It would be very helpful to have that out there!
I’ve linked to this blog and to Closed Circle on my website. The links have been there since about April of this year.

I am a forum member at TerraFirmaScapers.com , and The Signal Podcast, and Star Trek: Excelsior (podcast), and I’ll gladly tell others there. I’ve had threads at TF before about your books, CJ. Scapers and Browncoats are good at getting the word out. ๐ I’ll be happy to post a thread at each forum.
Thank you so much!
Gladly. ๐
Next thing you know, there’ll be translator tapes and the complete works of the philosophers of hu-man-ity. Or was it wo-man-ity? He-man-ity? I think that mahe was a little more than just tipsy.
Closed circle banner I installed on my website has been up for a couple of weeks. According to my web-counter 278 people have viewed it. Hope it made a little difference.
We have been getting members at an increased rate, actual members, not just ones trying to book us into a hotel in Tel Aviv or sell us Viagra! Thank you, Xenophon, and others!
