…we are particularly thankful for our friends in the Closed Circle network. Thank you all so much for your kindness.
Our plans for the day, now that we have had breakfast, are to be thoroughly off-diet. The day’s fare will be (not just ‘include’) coconut cream pie and carrot cake and bubbly. Straight to the stuff we REALLY like!
Happy thanksgiving to all those celebrating it
What is on the menu for Ysabel and Efanor today?
Catfood. Alas, they really don’t care for coconut cream pie!
Enjoy the Turkey, all!
Hey, if you’re going to fall off the wagon, make sure it’s for a good cause 😀
Happy Turkey Day to all, and thanks for being around!
Merry Thanksgiving from Germany! Stay warm and safe and have a relaxed holiday and really enjoy your feast ^^.
Happy Thanksgiving, Y’all.
Dinner went quite well, and best of all, we were home, instead of a visit to the hospital.
Extremely grateful for our health, despite wobbles; a roof over our heads, warm, clean beds; plenty of food and the money to get it; and friends and family. In the midst of so much in our daily lives, it is so easy to lose track of the simple, good stuff.
–I am prone to getting down about all the nonsense in our lives. It’s so good and unaccustomed to see the neat stuff for what it is. I am so wrapped up in the worrisome “what-if, what-next, now-what, how-am-I-going-to” lately, that I forget to stop and enjoy. Even when I take a break online, I’m usually doing something…or avoiding it. 😉
Life is a gift and sometimes a travail, but we should enjoy the good parts, for they’re rare. Whatever comes after this world, in that next door reality or brave new terra uncounted, we’ll see it then.
Meanwhile, hug someone, especially if it would surprise and befuddle ’em. All the more reason they need it.
Hmm, well, come to think of it, that’s one way to meet someone I’ve never tried. Some pickup line that’d be! (Oh, like I’m some rakish Lothario, right.) hmm, got a wee bit off-topic. Perhaps this indicates, gee, haven’t been out in…a very long time.
So true—and in the words of Tiny Tim, for the opening of the season, why, bless us, every one!
Delighted to hear that you two (or more?) had a lovely Thanksgiving. Here’s to Life!
Here is a neat guerilla choral performance that I would be very thankful to have been present for. It makes me smile, even the third time through. Hal-le-lu—jah!

That is pure delight. I’m still smiling. 🙂 😀 😆
Thanks Abigail – a wonderful link!
Roasted a duck for myself – will have leftovers the rest of the weekend. Also discovered that cutting brussel sprouts in half, tossing with a bit of orange peel and a very light coating of olive, then roasting at 400 F for 15 – 20 minutes, creates the most tender version – without being soggy. Ultimate goodness.
And a happy Thanksgiving to all!
I did traditional brussels sprouts. Next time i’ll do them with olive oil and lemon — or the orange, that sounded good.
Btw, in my earlier post, yes, that should’ve been terra incognita. My cell phone wants to hyper-correct everything, correct or not.
Tiny Tim rocked. He just got a bad wrap for being so positive in the hood.
@AbigailM: I registered, just to be able to thank you for posting that link. That was amazing!
Wasn’t it cool? I played through it a time or two today, too.
Welcome to WWAS!
Happy Thanksgiving.I hope you and Jane have a wonderful holiday.
Happy thanksgiving to all, and Abigail, thanks for the Hallelujah Chorus, that was wonderful.
