Let us know (we promise this is the last poll for a while) which formats you want to see. This is so we can be sure the mini download includes what it needs to, among other things, and we want to be sure we understand what all of you need/want.
Got ourselves a shiny new poll: please vote again

I thought we were just going to do a “To html or not to html” poll. I’m confused! but that’s OK. You’re cute.
Of course I am. I still want a picture of how html fits in as a choice.
The poll is complaining it can only have 4 choices. Naturally, I had 5, but I was just as happy to drop the fifth. It looks as though the results will shape up fine, and four or five formats should get the vast majority of your readers.
I’d said previously how in favor of HTML I am, and the thread debating how to go about the HTML is pretty complete in its discussion.
Heheh, good to know there’s cuteness going on. 😀
Hmm – but, BlueCatShip, are you actually going to USE all 5 of your choices. It would seem to me that it would have been better to restrict it to only a single choice, for the one you’re really going to read, otherwise it’s just going to be a mirror of the previous poll.
Did the 3 of you mention the poll on your Facebook pages?
mmm.
Odd, I voted yesterday, but it’s presenting again to vote. Well, no need to stuff the ballot box, here.
I conceivably would use those 4 or 5, depending on what device or software I happen to be on, and how the market changes. I mainly use the Kindle for PC and Kindle for iPhone apps, but I also have iBooks, and I’ll be trying out Calibre after very solid recommendations here and elsewhere.
Based on the poll results as I last saw them, the most needed and popular formats are bubbling to the top, so all is well.
I changed the poll and added html as a choice. Which you would like. You can take html into either Mobipocket Creator and create a .prc/mobi file, or you can take it into Calibre and use it to create any of the formats in the last, starting with ePub. If you’ve got an html file the chance of your file ever being outmoded is fairly low, unless the internet abandons html. Calibre can be hunt-and-peck at first, but is really great.
Also, if technology changes, we will supply additional formats, for no extra charge.
Also, I’d be unlikely to use the other formats, such as .txt (too stripped down in formatting, IMHO) or others that I simply don’t need or haven’t encountered, so I didn’t enter those. 🙂
Aha — Now I see the change (addition of .html format) and so I’ve voted anew.
