now working on the April Seeking North bit…
It rained and blew, and most of our snow is gone, but there’s a great submerged ice sheet on the pond.
The hockey people are trying to have an open air hockey meet at our baseball stadium. Naturally it’s warm and rain.
We tried to go skating today and so did Hank, but they’re having a junior hockey event at our rink. Bummer!
looking forward to that very much ….
winter has abandoned us here as well, for the time being, 10 C and very windy, rather wet from time to time as well …
I’m enjoying Seeking North. I don’t always like waiting, but this is feeling kind of fun.
It’s just about freezing here. Seven above when I got up at dawn. It’s supposed to get a little warmer over the next few days. I just hope it doesn’t get warmer, rain, then freeze, which is the usual weather pattern in these parts.
It’s pretty outside and quite enjoyable in the sun. Unfortunately the snow is deep enough to make walking a chore. We can just see the outline of the fish pond.
Stay warm and dry. 🙂
It’s probably due to the earlier announcement that I keep looking every day, rather than waiting more patiently. 🙂 But I’m enjoying the chance to catch the next installment as soon as it’s out, something more like the latest news than the monthly magazine serialized novels.
I am very glad to leave behind the cold snap (down into the 20’s at nights) of the last couple of weeks. Our weather has been really up and down, alternately a little warmer than usual or suddenly colder than usual, so that, at least it seems, that we haven’t had our usual seasonal temperatures. Overall, it has felt like a drier winter than usual too, but I don’t know if that’s statistically so, or just my daft opinion. 😉 Currently, drizzling rain and moderately chilly, but not quite as cold as it should be this time of year, after almost two weeks of quite below normal temps.
Old saying around here: If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes, and it will change.
The last few days have been really productive for story writing. I’ve written down notes and partial scenes for about three different story ideas, and have somewhat settled on merging some old ideas into a couple of story-universes, though that could mean some adjustments to what I have from earlier. But I’m happy with it. It’s been great to have things flowing instead of dried up or too tired to get to it. Never mind that I’ve let some things I “should” be doing go, in order to write. I *want* to write…and get a story or two actually finished, instead of the idea or outline or chapters or parts here and there stages. This feels like I’m getting off a plateau and advancing a little. I hope. Anyway, I’m pleased. I would, however, like not to have cold/allergy symptoms every dang time I turn around lately, though. It is interfering with work and play alike.
