…full of it. I had to pluck him out of the airconditioning vent: the one in my room lacks a cover. Well, that’s going to have to change.
You can read Jane’s full account of his checkup on her page.

Glad to hear he’s fine! And what fun, having a kitten around the house. They’re always so into things. LOL
My eldest (Wind) is spending a couple days with the vet. He was there about a week ago and came home fine. But the last couple days he developed a bad cold and was having trouble breathing. So the vet came and picked him up (very nice people) and will hold on to him for a bit. They say his heart is fine, he’s eating, and this doesn’t look serious. Since we lost his sister a few months ago, I’ve been worried.
Edmond and Zaphod often act as though they can’t stand Wind — but I knew something was wrong when I came out and found they had let him into their favorite box and Edmond was snuggled up to him. Edmond has been upset at him being gone, too.
I, in the meantime, am trying to do massive edits on a science fiction novel. About half way through the beast, finally. Slow work, but far better for it. Oh, and I read Betrayer! Loved it!
My brain is totally scattered the last week or so. I need a vacation. I guess I’ll have to take one by falling back into my novel to escape the real world. (grin)
Ooo…hope Wind gets better soon. You never know how they really feel about each other til one gets into trouble.
And what a wonderful link. Thank you!
Wind is spending the weekend with the vet, just so he can keep an eye on him and make sure the antibiotics work and so he doesn’t have to come back and pick him up in a few days again!
Glad you enjoyed the video. It was nice to see.
And had to share this video I found on CNN. People who love their cats will appreciate it:

Awww. Class one awww.
hear that cat purring! so loud! what a lovely little story …
Heheheh, so, was Eushu hunting the Dinner, or swabbing the vents on the Captain’s orders, for some misdeed?
Hmm, any housecat who could hunt Dinner would have a tough match, I’d bet. Eushu might be one young fellow up to the task, though I’d prefer he not get banged up too much in the process.
(I’m just enjoying being able to refer to Chanur saga events to people who’d know what those mean. Not that I’d be hinting at wanting another book or anything. Oh no, I’d never stoop that low…at least not twice in one hour………maybe-maybe.)
@ Zette, I hope Wind feels all better soon. Nice to know your other two are concerned for him.
Dinner and sweet little Eushu have a lot in common, black, fast, and full of teeth.
LOL on Dinner and Eushu!
The first part of his labs was life-critical, the feline leuk test, preparatory to the shots.
The second part shows, well, he WAS an outdoor kitten, and he has quite a high reading of unscheduled internal passengers, which we found out today. We have his meds, and he took them voluntarily, like a little trooper. We hope that he will rapidly feel better and perhaps be less argumentative with Ysabel.
Fat chance! She’s his favorite chew toy about now. Don’t forget she’s probably been exposed to the same internal passengers, especially if she’s forgiven his attitude enough to help groom.
No help from her: their interaction has tended to be spat-spat-whack. But we will have her tested after a while, and we will watch her carefully. They do share a litter pan: that can’t be prevented, but we have been careful in general, since we hadn’t been able to run the feline leuk test yet. We know now we’re ok in that; but we are in consultation with the vet re the ‘passengers’ problem. He has been so much quieter since his dose of meds: we think he has been a pretty uncomfortable kitty without having any experience of being otherwise. He’s playing and sleeping in alternation right now.
