Plus it’s got the first section of the book as a free download for any who’d like to have a look at it.
Jane just got the book up right before we left for the rink, and I hastily tried to put up the announcment, but didn’t do it right. So here’s hoping this link takes you to the right spot. If all else fails, look for Ring of Lightning.
And if you see a book underlined in our catalog from now on, you can click on that underlined name and get a special page for that book.
And the link still isn’t going live. Just go to http://www.closed-circle.net and get to the Store, then look for Ring of Lightning! OR …cut and paste the link above into the browser nav blank and it will work!
Hi Joe & Azureblue, I love reading about your wonderful dogs! I don’t want to coopt the posts, just wanted to say thanks! BTW, I love my cat, Serendipity, too, and I still miss my Amazon, a Bengal, who crossed over last May.
No problem with crosschat, Suzi99—I wish I could ‘thread’ the discussions better, but just kinda pick out the one you’re following and chat away at full speed. We cope with that just fine!
Hi CJ, so it seems that CC is truly the best option available – Yay for you three doing the work!
WE think it’s at least a good answer. If we can just get enough traffic in here to buy our books and give us a living, it will be a great answer!
You keep writing, and I’ll keep buying ! 🙂
Deal!
I ran across a Jeffery A. Carver,who has free
downloads of his sci-fi books. I got the feeling
that he is rebelling against somebody or thing.
Suzi99,all my great dogs have gone after very long lives. I now have 4 cats. I trapped three of
them that were born of wild parents and the fourth is a male who “volunteered” to come into my 65* home when the outdoor temps reached -30*. They have turned into gentle, loving friends.
I love hearing about everyone’s pets! We just rescued two shelter cats a few weeks ago who have now taken over the house and accepted us fully as their human staff. I wanted to name the black one Idrys because he is VERY sneaky and VERY VERY set on getting his way, but I got voted down. The other is a black and white Maine Coon mix who is barely out of kittenhood but is already 15 pounds (and not fat!) and spends most of his time racing from one end of the house to the other, carrying toy mice in his mouth.
CJ, Jane – I’m finally having surgery tomorrow on my shoulder. Wish me luck!
Oh, best of luck with that shoulder! I hope it goes great!
Azureblue, I’m sure you have great memories of the dogs and are making new ones of the cats. Are they all indoors now, or in-and-out?
I enjoy Jeffrey A, Carver’s books, too. He has a new one in his Chaos Chronicles series out now. Nice site, too.
Skitterling, best wishes with the shoulder. And be careful that 15-lb adolescent doesn’t jump into your arms unexpectedly during recovery! Ouch!
Skitterling, Sydney, my younger cat, jumped onto my knee the day I came home from surgery, of course it was the knee they had just replaced. Be careful that adolescent doesn’t try to jump up into your lap from the side without you seeing it, ala Sydney. (The lacerations should heal in a week or so. LOL)
All of my girls have been purchased from shelters.
BTW, anyone see the “Mutts Rule” sign at the Westminster Dog Show as they brought out the dogs for the final judging? That guy didn’t stay there very long…..I swear, some people just have no sense of humor….you see how the dogs reacted in the Subaru commercial.
Thanks all, for the kind thoughts. My surgery was canceled this morning and can’t be rescheduled for a couple of weeks. Grrr!
Ouch, Joe! Actually, I think the biggest danger is going to be their tendency to chase each other across my bed in the morning. That, and their penchant for getting underfoot as you are trying to walk. I swear, I think the reasoning is that if they get stepped on, they might get attention and treats. I don’t have any other explanation – I certainly wouldn’t try to trip a 20 foot giant for any reason…
Just a small comment on the Ring of Lightning “blurb” on Closed Circle.
The second section of text mentions foru brothers. The third section mentions three brothers.
As I remember it there were three brothers.
So the second section of text should read:
The main characters are three brothers whose lives take very different turns because of the happenstance of birth time and order in a rapidly changing world.
I’m going to buy the e-book even though I own it in paperback. I may want to create a paper book of it later. I’m not sure what your position on this was.
Cheers, Ericf
Four borthers!! Sorry, the keyboard messed with me!
OOps! 😉 We’ll fix that!
CJ, Sorry, I missed your post re crosschat – thanks!
