by Jane S. Fancher…can be viewed on PC, Apple, readers, phones, OR printed out, if you like. We give our readers every option! Also available: the prior 3 novels of the Ringdancer arc, Ring of Lightning, Ring of Intrigue, Ring of Destiny. Closed Circle Store
This is a fantasy universe with several unusual turns—a dynastic tale with a twist, and no few turns of unusual sort…no, there are no elves. There are brothers, lovers, rivalries, intrigue, and a very different world. I love this series—and if you haven’t read the first 3, do!
I just downloaded my copy of RoC. I bought the full version (why get anything else?). Lots of hugs to Jane for all her hard work.
Woo hoo! I’ve been looking forward to this. All paid for and downloaded. Thanks Jane!
I just bought mine and made a small donation, but I forgot to say the donation was for Jane. Can you rectify my omission?
I certainly shall—thank you, kokipy!
I am very curious how you go about having your novels bound once we buy them. Ok, we start with Kinkos, then what. Is it really easy or could the whole novel implode while Kinkos is printing it? Thanks.
There are several ways: you can just print it out in .pdf on your home computer, opting for 2-sided printing, and go down with the sheets in hand to have Kinko’s perfect-bind it or spiral bind it while you stand there—takes about 5 minutes, once they get to it.
You can also adjust the page size, to bring it into compliance with most of your library, as long as its size is in compliance with Kinko’s available gear. [spine-combs, covers, etc.]
You can take it to a bindery other than Kinko’s (spendy) and have it library-bound; you can print out the cover on appropriate paper and permanently glue it to the binding.
You can also, if you have a lot of time time on your hands and really want to learn a new craft, go back to basics: http://www.diybookbinding.com/instructions-on-how-to-bind-a-book/ and have yourself a new hobby. This site is only the tip of the iceberg of what you can do.
CJ,
Downbelow Station is featured in this list, about halfway down:

Be warned that io9 is a real time suck. If you want to get Intruder done, look at the nice mention and: Step. Away. From. The. Site. 😀
😆 warning appreciated!
Eighteen chapter in…. Didn’t want the plane to land cause I’d have to stop reading… Please tell Jane that “She done good” and “Intrustin'”
Ready

A few of the Big Damn Heroes and some other supporters familiar to fandom have cameo appearances in the movie. Special music was written and performed by various fans and filk bands and by Greg Edmondson, the man who provided the music for the Firefly TV series.
Joss Whedon is reported to have given his blessing for the fan production and encouraged donations to charity, in order to get the word out to the science fiction community.
This is a very worthwhile and professional and fan-made effort to provide new content in the Verse.
If you like good science fiction and want to support worthwhile charities, please check out the movie. It helps Browncoats bring more to the Verse. It helps do good works and helps people in the real world. It brings quality science fiction to the attention of the larger community and entertainment industry.
I believe the premiere is Saturday, 2010-09-04 (Sept. 04). I don’t recall how long their website will provide live streaming of the video. Fellow fans, please correct this info if I’m in error. 🙂
No, I’m not connected to the film in any way. But…
I am a Browncoat.
Ready, I’ll pass that kind remark on to Jane.
I just can’t let Stephen and Anevai go on without me, so I’ll have to finish Netwalkers: Uplink before I can get to Alizant.
Jane is noted for puns in her works, Not being a Spanish linguist, I just found out that “Ley” means “law” in Spanish. If you don’t obey the laws of ley, you will get s”ley”n.
Congratulations Jane! I’ll pick it up once I have money for something other than human food and cat food. Instead, I’m doing my best and enjoying re-reads of thins already on the shelf/in the nook.
So many books to buy once the money flows on a regular basis again….
And don’t forget Project Gutenberg, which has legal free ones for during the low spots!
Good reminder, though sadly not so much of the science fiction and fantasy, but I will have to drop by on Gutenberg to pick up some of the classics I neglected – perhaps it’s time to tackle Wodehouse!
Wodehouse does not require much in the way of tackling! He’s wonderful!
