Wow…now THAT’S a solar battery I could get behind. I want one to power our house. (Not to mention the gorgeous rock in the last pic.)
Some people want rocks and rolling music (before they phone home).

Vertical gardening for food as well as pleasure is apparently a very viable idea. I was intrigued by that building in the right background of the video that looked like a bar atop two X’s.
That’s really neat. For some reason it reminds me of something I read in one of Jared Diamond’s books, about a primitive society that had planted food plants throughout the jungle it lived in, so that it was surrounded by its food source – a very viable ecosystem. Also like the Native Americans in the Northeast, with their corn stalks and greenbeans growing up them and squash vines around the bottom.
Funny to find this as I was just telling a friend how much like Singapore Pell Station’s social structure is, and chuckling a bit at how kiasu stationers can be.
