Jane finished her work on Alliance Unbound last week. I finished my second runthrough today.
Tomorrow we will sit own to go over it with a fine-tooth comb and fix all the notes and ticks and punctuation.
By the end of the week, we should be mailing it off, or e-sending it, these days. And DAW is ready to receive it. It’s been a wild couple of years.
I am, meanwhile, 30000 words along in Foreigner…..

I’m wading through research reports and final exams right now.
A university student contacted me asking about my community college’s summer American Literature courses; he wants to complete 2 months of work in 1 month, so he won’t have to worry about my course while he is in France. If he were an English major, used to reading a novel a day, with nothing else going on in his life, possibly. . .

Wonderful news! I’m glad to hear that work is going well for you again. It’s been a rough couple of years and some people say we are all having just a bit of PTSD. Made it through another tax season wondering why I’m still doing this stuff. Sad that I’ll miss Balticon this year since we’ll be away – it looks like it will be a really good con this year.

My day job has just returned to the office, and it’s making me wish I could take a sabbatical and get my manuscript done. Oh well.
