…the software on Cafe Press is tricky. We set a general command to set the price at 20% above cost…and sometimes it took it, and sometimes it didn’t, even within the same product list. We have now gone in and made that correction. It will NOT affect anyone who has already made their purchase: what you thought you paid is what you paid, and that’s fair: you got a deal. But it does raise the price of some (not all) items from here on, which were listed without our markup. Fortunately we found this out on the second day of operation…better than the 10th. But if this inconveniences anyone, we are mortally sorry and embarrassed.
an apology…

I didn’t place an order yet, and didn’t notice a discrepancy in the prices, although as you state, we wouldn’t know what the price was supposed to be, since you set the prices. Had I placed an order, I would have tried to determine the difference in what I pay and what it should have been, and then send you the difference one way or another.
It just seems like the right thing to do.
Well, thank you, Joe: but it’s ok: it turns out that when you push a “set the price” button it ONLY affects things you’ve just added to that section, not things that are in there already. Now, would you not think that this button would affect everything in the section? But nay! It only affects the new things, as best we can figure, so we have stopped trusting the ‘global’ commands and have gone section by section with globals *within* the section. Now we know. And now as best we can determine, it is what it ought to be. So you may now trust that the prices will quite bouncing around.
Thank you all for your patience!
