A letter from BCS Review: sorry about the links---if you want to use them, you'll have to copy and drop. It's rather nice, however. "I wanted to let you know, on behalf of BSCreview.com that your novel Regenesis is one of 64 books that we selected to be voted on, starting Thursday, March 18th, in our book tournament for the best new genre release of the year 2009. You can see the details of the tournament here: http://www.bscreview.com/2010/02/fourth-annual-bscreview-book-tournament-announcement/ We invite you to encourage your fans to come vote in the tournament on your blog and we would be thrilled of course if you dropped by to promote your book. The opposing book in the first round is Jesse Bullington's The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart and the thread where people will vote and debate the books will be here: http://www.bscreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=7976 The first round will be the shortest, beginning the morning of 3/18 and ending around 8:00 PM EST on 3/19. The winner will then move on to the next round starting the morning of 3/20 and that round (as well as each subsequent round) will run for six days."
My cousin(disgusted with son)is shooting me intermediate small laptop to keep me online without friend Pete(the Jerk). Unhappily it’s programmed with Vista,I figure that I can get by
for a while.
One of the greatest gifts that I have is an aunt who sends me jokes, cartoons and pictures of great beauty. Every day they appear to bless me with the gift of mirth and awe!!
Hurrah for the cousin! Vista is do-able, just a little over-helpful. If you have problems, again, people here will help. Jane just got Vista replaced with Win 7, but knows a little about it; and I’m sure many people here will be happy to help out!
BCS Review: “Regenesis by C. J. Cherryh is born again into the second round, 16-13.”
You’re kidding? We won round one? Yay!
I Just voted again, and once again without reading the other book. but I looked at the amazon blurb and immediately concluded it was exactly the kind of book I hate. Once again.
It is just barely conceivable, I guess, that they could put Regenesis up against another work that I liked better, say, for example, Hamlet, or perhaps The Pride of Chanur. Failing competition like that I am not going to worry too much about not having read the competitor.
