Peacemaker is finished!
It’s taken me twice as long as a normal book, though it isn’t any extraordinary length. Sometimes books behave like that. But I am now satisfied.

woot!
*happy dance* Go have a class of Chard!
I had too many of them last night. I think I am going to go dry for a week. But I can’t have been too bad. The idea for the next book is beginning to take shape.
Two things to be happy about today!
Todd Lockwood has the PROTECTOR cover on his blog! Sorry, the Nook does not allow me to copy/paste the URL. He announced it on Facebook. Each picture (page 2) has a mini-movie. If you are using a Nook, check for the red circle in bottom left corner of your screen for the download. Love it!

Also, YAY!
I find it fascinating that the atevi agreed to allow human guards to bring weapons down to the surface. Howsomecomever, (that’s a word my father made up), I note that all of the people carrying weapons have their fingers off the triggers and the firearms pointed in a safe direction. Good on you, Todd! Firearm safety is always a good thing to promote.
You’ll probably need QuikTime player to watch the movie he embeds in the link.
Oh, yes, excellent news!
Happydance!
Yay!
If you are satisfied, we will be more than satisfied. I can’t wait to read it! Congratulations!!!
Hooray! I’m waiting for my pre-ordered copy of “Protector”; it nice to know the next installment is “in the can”, so to speak.
Huzzah!! Three cheers and a round of tea for everyone!!!
Congrats!!!! Time to take a long weekend and celebrate!!!
Obviously the young lord gets his ship “friends” to visit. Salad anyone? That is going to make life interesting for all concerned. We can’t have AG members getting bored. There is that saying – may you live in interesting times. Or is it a curse? Wonderful painting. Thank you Estara for posting the link. Waiting impatiently for Protector to be published.
Ms CJ just to be a pedant, does Dave’s Whizmatronic thingy get updated when you have finished the copy edits?
Whoops. That is Protector that is having copy edits. Well it is great news regardless. Thank you for keeping us entertained for many years and what will be the next stage for Peacemaker? You have explained the writing and publishing process on here before. I just can’t remember the next step. It is not ideal weather in smoked ham for a road trip read through – great big grin on my face.
Congratulations! It sounds as if the story is flowing nicely now, if the next book is already starting to percolate.
If Peacemaker took twice as long to come together, does that mean that after Protector we will have a two-year wait for Peacemaker to become available? Or is there still enough flexibility in the publishing schedule at this point that it might be only a bit more than the usual one-year interval?
I’m not complaining if it’s a longer wait: I’d rather wait longer for a book you are satisfied with.
Happiness! One hopes someone (Jase?) has been teaching the ship people a bit about how things work planetside, although that would seem to be a huge can of worms. Where might they stay, even if they are visiting Cajeiri? Has someone taught them some atevi diplomacy? Bren is going to have his hands full, one suspects.
Yaaaay! Congratulations.
*dances little jig of delight and sings the “Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!” song*
OFF TOPIC: I’m starting a massive house cleaning/rearranging/declutter marathon that must be finished by midnight 01/31/13 so as to start the (Chinese)new year with a clean house, which is good feng shui. Just an advisement that there will be radio silence for a couple of days, as I’m starting with my office, and will have to disassemble my computers (this afternoon), until the office gets cleaned out and rearranged. Following that, I’ll be on intermittently. I’m pretty excited about it. I’m getting rid of a huge clunky computer desk that I don’t need any more. That will leave me room to move in a recliner and set up a reading/DVD-VHS viewing/knitting-crochetting nook, as well as a place to set up a table to do sewing and jewelry making. Who knows? I may end up with an etsy page at some point. Next on the agenda is the living room, followed by my bedroom, the “liberry” and the kitchen/dining room. Wish me luck and fortitude, and hope the Aleve, Mucinex-D, and acetaminophen supply holds out! Gotta go charge up the batteries for my reciprocating saw and my cordless drill, and get cracking. . . .(BTW, a tip. If you “over exert” yourself, take Aleve, ibuprofen or acetaminophen right before you go to bed to help deter morning stiffness and soreness.)
Good luck! Be careful to leave out a saucer of milk for disturbed house-spirits. Or perhaps the cats will help.
Woot! Unfortunately my happy dance confused my husband and scared the cats.
Sounds like a celebration is in order! Chocolate cake anyone?
Want a good combo? Chocolate cake drenched with a jigger of Chambord.
Rub it in why don’t you. I’m back on Weight Watchers and doing well – 10lb down.
I am SO ready! Yay!!
For me the real question is when will the release date be? THEN I can get my hands on it.
