One of Jane’s birthday requests was a visit to her bros in Seattle…so cats and all, we were off. And OSG was watching the fishes, but the last we heard, OSG has come down with the swine flu and so has Joan’s husband. The whole circle of our friends is becoming swine-flu’ed! We certainly wish all well!
Headed home…

I’m sorry to hear OSG’s troubles. It can be serious, that. My positive thoughts are travelling at hyperspace speeds to her. Bests.
All best wishes to OSG for a rapid recovery and and Joan’s husband too!
Oh OSG! get better real soon!
Thank you, everyone. In my profession, this was almost inevitable. My fever broke last night so I’m feeling quite a bit better. It is amazing how quickly it came on — I skated strongly Friday, then developed a little sore throat & malaise late Friday night. By Saturday morning — literally prostrated, and I know I wasn’t a fraction as sick as several of my own patients. I think I’m going to try to shower now, that I know I’m going to live. 😉
Sympathy, OSG. A friend of mine here in Milwaukee was being preemptively treated for h1n1 — until the bloodwork came back and proved it was nothing of the sort. Given that 90% of all flu-like cases have been h1n1, I understand why his doc played the odds. So, he had to go three days with *no* meds to flush the worse-than-useless antiviral cocktail out of his system, and hopefully he will be started on his antibacterial ‘scrip (for brochitis) soonest.
Sorry OSG, I have been on the road and have had spotty internet availability, I’m glad your fever broke, hope you continue to get better. Of course since I’m on the road my wife got sick too. Her fever broke Friday and she is slowly recovering (I hope) she has asthma, so I worry about pnuemonia. So far none of the kids have caught it. (fingers crossed)
