Updating the bookmark is a good idea, but we’ve got a permanent redirect attached to the old blog URL which should seamlessly re-route all incoming traffic, including Google, to the new site.
Good. Thanks, Threadbender—that’ll catch all the folk that aren’t members here.
But Jane is sooooooo much happier with her new title. (For those of you who haven’t yet read Jane’s stories, Harmonies of the Net is the scientific article Wes set in the network to catch *somebody* who’d someday understand it.)
Kudos to “Threadbender,” who has saved us from electronic chaos and thrown the needed switches.
If you haven’t guessed, we ARE Closed Circle.
And we are about to put new stuff up, along with our other changes.
‘Long as you’re making changes, http://www.cherryh.com hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It’s telling visitors what cons you were planning on visiting two years ago! 😉
I know, I know—I’ve forgotten my code to use getting into the site. 😉 But it is on the high end of my to-do list. 😉 I’ve been thinking about it.
If you’re like me and can’t remember the multitudes of user names & passwords try a free program called KeePass. This requires just one password to open; that’s it. This also lets me save the database as a text file and load it onto my kindle when I’m travelling.
I use LastPass, excellent encryption, free, and *cross-platform* including your smartphone.
