Note: this is something you don’t even get to see in the graphics sets we have for sale: these are images taken directly from the original artwork.

This is the project on which Jane and I first got together. And I even drew a couple of the characters, and the cat, and the writing in the background of a few panels. I designed the lettering on volume two, and created the font from Jane’s handwriting, and if you could have seen us, in gas masks, cutting up the printed-out dialogue and sticking it to the paper, you’d have howled. We hunted and hunted for one of Vanye’s lines, and found it stuck to my back.

Then, of course, it went from the backlist to the back matter to the artboard….

Congrats to Jane and you on the digital version!

Dumb question time…I have always wondered what is the correct pronunciation of Vanye (and Morgaine)?

Phew! Confirmation from the source… I am glad I have been pronouncing their names correctly all these years!

Passing on a question from my mother-in-law, who turned me on to Foreigner (and, sorry if this has been answered many times):

“Will there ever be any more Morgaine stories?”

altho I just returned the favor and gave her my copies of the Fortress series, which leads to:

“Will there ever be any more Tristan stories?” 🙂

I want to write more of both, but it’s a matter of physical strength. I’ve gotten a new contract from DAW, which will keep us afloat, but there are only so many hours in the day, in which the brain can stay alert. I WANT to make enough off CC that one day I can.

Well, that’s a better answer than I hoped for! And, to get back on topic, the scans are *gorgeous*.

Which now leads to the NEXT question (possibly for Jane?): Will there ever be any more of the graphic novels?

Keep it up, you guys ROCK! (not to mention filling many an hour with enjoyment)

It’s gorgeous! If you haven’t gone and looked (thinking comics just aren’t my thing…) – well you gotta go look! Really! (comics aren’t my thing either) I love them, I gotta get a set. 🙂 (yes, I told Jane first 😉 )

Awaiting mine too; not yet shipped. Went by B&N yesterday while out on errands, but alas, not there yet either. One shall be patient.

I hope to get a chance to ogle the scans of Gates of Ivrel this weekend. This week is oddly both hectic and restful at once, yet still kicking my posterior.

Made the pizza today. Oh, what a joy and a funny “not quite there yet” experience. Hope to post more soon.

I can’t wait to get my hands on Betrayer! I so wanted to pre-order, but haven’t had the funds.

Must get it! Must have it NOW!

I must over to Jane’s Annex and ogle the artwork when I have more time. I haven’t seen the trilogy since high school, and this will be a real trip down memory lane…
