The water is finally in balance again, despite rains and high sun in alternation. Click on the image to get the large, clear version. The link to Jane’s page has more. The fishes are: Ari, the big cream-colored one; Maddy, the white one with the fins; Byakuya, the black with gold fins; Renji, the orange/white, and the owner of the black spot against the white is another white fish, Ishida, who has black spots. I’m not sure who is crowding in from the bottom, but it could be Kenpachi or Denys.
Congratulations on achieving clarity. Sadly, I can’t see the pictures as it asks me for a Flash update, which means that a lot of other people won’t be able to see them either 🙁
Sorry about that. It’s the most troublefree plugin WP has for slideshow pix. I’ll see if I can manage to post one as a flat inclusion.
…no. Sorry. An hour of trying has not managed to get a simple image from my media folder to display on my page. Going to breakfast now.
Would you do me a big favor and check out the new page on the blog and tell me if this works for you? http://www.janefancher.com/HarmoniesOfTheNet/pix-galore/
You’ll have to find the appropriate gallery and they aren’t necessarily obvious…the one CJC is referencing is June2012fishies down toward the bottom. These are put in via groups so they aren’t in anything approaching chronological order.
I’m about in the same boat. Not only is Flash a PITA to get a version working with a variety of Linux systems and Adobe/Apple is abandoning Linux altogether, but I’m on a 4k bytes/sec dialup line!
Very nice looking backyard. So much prettier than when I was there for ShejiCon 1! It was all grass back then. Glad your fish are healthy and happy.
We now have image. Jane showed me how in 1 minute flat. I just hate to bother her when she’s working.
The grass is entirely unmourned. It was nasty, mostly dead and brown. I would never have a grass lawn again, at all. Not even a patch of it. We never used it. We never walked around on it. It was bigger than our house, and it was just a place absolutely useless to us. Now we’re out there many times a day, and sit out there when we need just to think.
And I’m really glad to get that image problem solved. It’s not a headache, if you know you’re supposed to use this stupid little faint grey button the size of a matchhead that you wouldn’t even notice, sitting beside the title, compared to the half-inch wide, colored ‘add picture’ icon on the regular toolbar that produces the ‘add picture’ panel with all its blanks to fill in with urls and titles and other stuff: that button doesn’t work any longer, but WP hasn’t removed that still partly functioning button from the system.
Thank you, WP. That should have been much simpler. But now I know, and you all may see pix from me now and again.
That one works, too, Carolyn, It’s just much futzier. 😀 It’s the old method and doesn’t incorporate NextGen…which you have on your blog. 😀
She doesn’t lie about the lawn. Grass if for horses to eat!
Is THAT what’s going on? I thought NextGen was the dead ‘un.
At any rate, if you are not using Flash, which the slideshows use, Jane has made you a special gallery of clickable pix on her site, so if you want pix but don’t have Flashplayer, you can now get them over there.
Thank you, thank you, Jane.
Yeah, folks… could you let me know, please, if those work for you? I don’t think they use flash, but it’s another option in the same plugin. If it’s useful, I’ll change the names of the galleries to be a bit more explanatory.
Ahh, I like your blue & white iris! 🙂 Blue isn’t the easiest color to get into a garden. 😉 So they weren’t yellow flags after all.
gorgeous! no problem seeing them here …
now a bit of info for you, I have just started using these people for antivirus, and my computer expert recommended them, plus he says windows and the rerouter have firewall, so antivirus is all you need – http://www.eset.co.uk – but as they are a UK company not sure how that works … anyway, they seem very efficient, and the software asks you if you want something to stop unwanted software downloading … which seems like a good thing!
I sent a link of Jane’s slide show to my mom, who was both impressed and delighted by them. I shall have to check out the picture page.
