I&#8217;ve hit the really thorny bit, where there&#8217;s good stuff and not-for-this-book stuff about equally mixed in every line. This is the hard sort of thing to sort out.<\/p>\n<p>First you copy the entire &#8216;old&#8217; file, and rename it, to save a &#8216;fair copy&#8217; as it used to stand.<br \/>\nThen you rename the file you&#8217;re going to turn into the Revised book.<br \/>\nUltimately, you create a second &#8216;old&#8217; file, and rename it Second REvised BOok, and erase from it everything you kept from the Revised book.<br \/>\nSo One Book becomes book A and book B, with a lot of A and only scraps of B. It&#8217;s not that I was totally wrong, it&#8217;s that B was getting into A and totally diverting it off course.<\/p>\n<p>My brain hurts. But it&#8217;s working. I&#8217;m actually enjoying this a lot more than I have enjoyed producing 97 pages that weren&#8217;t working.<\/p>\n<p>Jane&#8217;s got the office looking splendid.<\/p>\n<p>I found out what was going on with the tax return: it&#8217;s good. I was reading a copy of the Federal report that goes into the Nonresident report, and they owe me money, not the way around, because there was a withholding on stuff that shouldn&#8217;t have been sent to Oklahoma in the first place. It has to do with income from part of the farmland I inherited, and that&#8217;s all good: I now know what&#8217;s going on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s shaping up fast.
