Very glad to see this back!
Yowza! When I need a break, I’m going there posthaste.
The kitchen is halfway done. DH keeps asking when our new appliances are coming; we’ve only been without a stove 2 days, and have never had a dishwasher, so one is counseling patience. I still must retrofit an outlet for the dishwasher and stove, and finish the plumbing connections. Tiling the countertops is proceeding, although some of my parts and supplies have been mislaid; 2 of my backsplash panels and the small butane torch I use for soldering aren’t where I thought they were. The small local Ace Hardware seems to be better than the big box stores for obscure little needs, and advice when necessary.
Seems to be the week for DIY projects. I had one myself, though nothing remotely on the scale of yours, chondrite. I specially modified one of those little rolling laptop tables by attaching a plug strip to the bottom. Plug strip has 12 foot cord. No more running out of juice while Kindling! Those tiled counter tops and backs plash sound great. Be sure to seal your grout! It’s an extra step, but it will save you so much hassle on down the line by keeping mildew out of the grout and keeping the grout clean.
(?) Is the new Seeking North segment bundled with the other Seeking North segments? I don’t find another link. — Thanks in advance.
Downloaded and ready to read, which I will do while I am traveling next week.
Our DIY has been working on the pond with it’s new (real) filter and pump. The water is slowly but surely clearing. We can now see rocks we had forgotten Proge put in. We have water hyacinth for the filter, but a few in the pond because the frogs look so cute when they sit on them.
