Yippee! I think I have Audible credits, besides.
(I loved both books and have been wanting to reread them anyway. Now I have an excuse. Riri, jaja, lol….)
Saw something today that made me think of you, since Lenovo is one of the stalwarts for pointer-sticks

I’m glad to know it’s still got defenders. I can’t use a touchpad—I had one once, and was real glad when I moved off that machine. I can’t use a mouse, because I have a hand-tremor that mostly shows up with the mouse-type movement. It jerks. Continually. I can manage with a trackball, but they’re big and clunky. With thumb on the trackpoint keys and middle finger on the trackpoint, I can absolutely fly—well, at least my goblin kill-count is quite high. Lenovo is where I was going to go when it looked as if Dell was going to phase out the trackpoint, but Dell Latitude, which I do use quite comfortably, has that as an option.
oooh, fantastic, great news, thanks!
Re your keyboard pains – there is a company named Unicomp, Inc, that manufactures IBM Model M keyboards (and other configurations) with IBM’ s buckling spring mechanism that is loud but probably strong enough to stand up to your style of typing. They have a model called “EnduraPro” that comes equipped with a trackpoint. If you ever get back to using a desktop, this might be worth a look. This is their website:
