Yay! And the legions of fans begin to chant:
MORE! MORE! MORE!…
(Headin’ over to CC to buy something as a means of encouragement!)
Thankyouthankyouthankyou.
….and the crowd goes wild!
Number me among the legions of fans.I have all of your books and short stories that have been published. If you write it I will read it.
Oooh. That’s a good collection of favorite authors all in one place.
Is this the short story that you wrote about in the blog several months ago when you were writing it? I thought that was this summer or fall, but looking back to July I didn’t find the posts. It might be fun to reread what you wrote about it here when we’ve got the finished story to read with it.
By the way, in answer to a question someone asked a while back: using PayPal for the Closed Circle payments and donations works just fine, even if you haven’t got a PayPal account, as long as you have a credit card. I’ve got one with an extremely low maximum especially for making purchases on the Internet – they’ll give you a higher standard maximum but you can write/mail/phone them and tell them to lower your maximum (on this card) to a hundred dollars or whatever your monthly book-allowance is, so if your card gets ripped off on the Internet you’ll never be unbearably much out-of-pocket because of it. Then you also have to pay off your book-buys on the card as soon as possible, or you won’t be able to get more books – a good way to avoid spending more than you can afford.
I also heard some mention of a debit-card, that you have to add money to before you can use it to pay for things – that would be even more secure, and as long as it’s still a Visa or MasterCard or one of the others that PayPal accepts as creditcards it should work just as well.
Yes. It is.
Because I’m on disability no credit card company
will issue a card to me(and it says so very specifically on their application form). Then I
saw that Walmart had Visa debit cards that you add
money to and got one. It’s well accepted every where I have looked to use it. I think that it would be smart for everyone to have this type of
card for internet buys.
Excellent idea: for one thing, they’re safer on the internet, because they’re backed by a finite amount of money: only what they’re ‘topped off’ with.
